Working on my positive mood

6 on August 9, 2019

We know how important our mood and views on this whole journey are. Reading topics about nutrition and talking to everyone here are the few things that can help to brighten your mood. I also try to change my exercise tracks so I can experience new things once in a while. That helps me to keep my mood fresh.

I realize that we really have to give 110% for health. (I’m probably a bit too late on that.)

I’m naturally pessimistic and I’m a bit of a worrier, so I find it hard to pull myself out of the doldrums.  Do you have any tips for how to get started with looking at the sunny side of life?

I’d say willpower is one of the keys. I realize that my mental health is important, so I begin to work on it. As I feel better, it enforces my willpower to keep it up. It’s like a promise to love myself better. I’m the only one who can do it anyway.

What do you think about starting with the things you love and expand from there?

I also struggle with finding something positive on this journey at the moment. I feel so sick all the time and struggling to eat it’s getting.me down.
Just cant find ‘my happy’ right now.

I turned things around by writing in what I call my Gratitude Journal.  I was also pretty down so I just googled “happy journaling prompts” which led me to many positive sites.  They get you started  with a prompt you should write about.  Something like, “list 10 things you love about your pet,” and “name a time that you felt strong.”  I wrote in it everyday and it really helped me keep things in perspective.  I have a good life.  I need to appreciate it.  I still write in my Gratitude Journal and it helps me find my happy place.

Loopy, it must be hard. There’s only so much we can work on mentally when we are not physically fit. I hope that your surgeon will be able to find a solution for you as soon as possible. Feel free to rant to us if things are getting too tough! Sending good vibes over there!

We handle this emotion differently, and I would like to say that there is no wrong answer to this problem. As for me, I look at my yearbooks to see my previous figure. I know I cannot go back exactly to that kind of figure, but at least I can tell myself that I wasn’t a big lady all my life.
