I know this 2017 article by the New York Times is a little old, but it’s a fascinating subject and it answers the question I’ve wondered about for ages. Why does weight-loss surgery work when dieting doesn’t?

Thanks for sharing, Wren! I’ve wondered about that myself. I’m so surprised that weight-loss surgery makes so many changes to a person’s body. I just assumed it only effected the digestive system. It sounds nice and like a good way to succeed, but it also sounds very permanent, which makes me a little more cautious.
