I’d love to hear how much you’ve lost and how you’re doing so far after surgery.   I know there were quite a few of us going in September and I’d love an update.  I’d love to hear from others as well.  I had my gastric sleeve procedure during the first week of September. Since then I’ve lost about 24 pounds or so.  I’m super happy about that!.  I’m still feeling fatigued and when I had my lab work done, they discovered that I have low iron.  I’m taking a supplement for that and I hope it helps with my energy levels.  I also wasn’t eating enough calories so I’m working on that.  I’ve just never had much of an appetite at breakfast time.

What about you?

Hi, well done you that’s an amazing amount. I had my sleeve done in june and lost 24 kilo. I’ve had a lot probs with sickness and reflux though so dont feel great. None of my clothes fit now and it’s strange cos I dont feel any different. Good excuse to buy more clothes though.

I’ve thought about you Loopy12a and wondered how you’re doing.  Have you had that appointment yet to see why you’re still experiencing so much nausea?  Congratulations on your weight loss.  Yep, I’d say new clothes are in order.

Hi, yes had appointment and gastroscopy, it seema my aesophocus now has a kink in it which is why my food has a hard time going down and constant reflux. I saw the registrar and he said have to have a meeting to decide what to do, either undo the hernia repair, convert to by pass or do nothing and see if it rights itself in time.
Ive now found out they want to just leave it!!! Bearing in mind i cannot eat hardly anything solid, i practically live on yoghurt and a bit of soup and even then suffer with heartburn and reflux all day every day. Even drinks cause me problems. I am tired all the time, emotional constantly, my hair is falling out and have no energy.
I complained to the surgical team and have an emergency appointment with surgeon thursday 10th @9.45am.
Thing is i dont know if its the surgeon who messed up and caught the aesophocus by mistake or its scar tissue formed. Need to have words tomorrow and will update thread.

Hello, Maria!  It’s incredible that you’ve lost so much already.  That’s awesome!  Seeing the scale change for the better really helps keep me motivated.  I have a hard time drinking enough each day as I tend to forget when I’m working.  Do you struggle to stay hydrated?

Its so motivating for me too!! Ive been pretty good a out it except for today, was running around all day and i didnt get all my water in. Im a stay at home mom so i think its easier to stay focused on those water goals. I was dehydrated the first few days after surgery a d had to get iv fluids and some shots so that kicked me in the butt to drink drink drink!! Good luck to you!!!

My surgery was over a year ago, and I’ve lost over 100 pounds so far. I still have a way to go, but I am very happy with the weight I’ve lost so far.
