Gastric sleeve surgery is not only about disciplining our digestive system to eat what is healthy. The mental part has more to do with the success of our goal to become healthy. What are the ways that we can do to train our mental ability not to veer off from our goal? I want to learn some because I often go back to my unhealthy habits.

Gosh Bridget, this is the million dollar question. Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out the answer yet for myself.  I’m hoping weight-loss surgery will help me get there.

That’s a great question!

I just keep trying to remind myself that I am staying on course for my health and well-being. Sometimes that’s really hard to do, especially when I’m feeling down or disheartened. I’ll be interested to see how others stay on track. I’d like to learn some strategies.

How regularly do you guys vent out about your weight loss frustrations? Since I can’t just eat when I’m being emotional, I channel it out by talking to my people. Sometimes they take me to do something fun or crazy to blow off some steam in response, and it helps.

Well, it may be different once I’ve had the surgery and feeling nauseous all the time.
