Story About Me

I’m new to this site, but I’m not new to the gastric sleeve procedure because I had undergone the procedure myself, a year ago. It was not a perfect process because I had ups and downs, mostly downs, but I can say that I’m already living the goal I set myself before the surgery. I hope I can encourage others who are planning to have this surgery and to those who recently had the surgery.

Hello, Jean! I’m also new around here, and I had my surgery around a year ago. You’ve done a great job coming this far. I’m curious if you are still experiencing some downs these days, a year after the surgery. How do you get through those hard days?

Way to go Jean!  Congrats on smashing your weight-loss goal!  What do you think helped you the most during the process? I love hearing success stories like your’s.  They help me stay motivated.

I’m with @blackdust, how do you get through the tough days @Jean?  I’d love to hear what keeps you focused on your end goal.  It’s incredible that you’ve done so well!  You must be really proud of yourself.

Family support is a great part of my recovery. There were times when I really want to have a feast, but my family will eat the same portion as mine to help me cope with my diet.

Wow, that’s wonderful! I wonder if my family members would ever do that for me since our diet patterns are so challenging. Then again, they can probably use some ideas to improve their diet, so it’s a win-win situation for the whole family.

You are right because my family is also benefitted with the same diet as mine. They don’t need to reach a condition when they are forced to eat a healthy diet. They become healthier while helping me reach my goal.
