I recently had blood work done. I saw my physician yesterday, and she told me that I am in remission from my type 2 diabetes! We were hoping that all the work I’ve done post-surgery to lose weight would lead to remission, and it finally has. I’m so thrilled!

Has anyone else been able to achieve this goal? Were you able to stay in remission long-term?

That’s incredible news! Congratulations! I hope that you are able to stay in remission.

I’m hoping to attain remission from type 2 diabetes myself after surgery. I’d also love it if my sleep apnea would improve.

Congratulations, Sasha! I’m so happy for you!. At the end of the day, I think these things are what really matters. There are so many ups and downs in our weight journey that the facts like keeping the diseases at bay and giving up some drugs are the real victory. (I’m also free from my hypertension drugs over a year now.) Keep up the great work!
