Recovery period after revision?

Does it take longer to recover after a revision (lap-band to sleeve) than it did for the initial banding?  Typically, do revisions cause more complications than other weight-loss surgeries?  I keep going back and forth about whether I should have two separate operations; first the lamp-band removed, then the VSG at a later date; or whether I should combine the procedures during one operation.  The doc says both are possible and that it’s up to me.  I’m not sure which is in my best interest.  I’m concerned about the recovery time and possible complications during and after surgery.

I’ve only been sleeved, so I haven’t experienced some of what you’re asking.  However, if the surgeon was letting me decide what to do, I’d have the lap-band removed and sleeve done during the same operation. That way you’ll only need to be put to sleep once, and you’ll only have one recovery period.
