Protein heavy snacks?

What are some of your healthy snack ideas that are light on carbs and heavy on the protein? I eat a ton of pickles and all that salt isn’t great for me. I need to focus more on protein instead.

If you’re looking for something that doesn’t need refrigerated, try some beef jerky or almonds. If refrigerated snacks are okay, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt are both my faves this time of year.

Greek yogurt is a must! I also love nuts. I try to eat unsalted because they are healthier. I eat pistachios, almonds and cashews. Sometimes I eat celery with a bit of peanut butter.

Hello Kami1. I really like snacking on edamame (soy beans) still in their pods because i have to slow down to get them out. A hard boiled egg is another favorite.

I am going to second boiled eggs. They pack a ton of protein and will fill you up until it’s time for another meal. Just use Mrs. Dash instead of salt if you have to season your boiled eggs.
