As you probably know, most US medical insurance providers won’t cover your surgery while you’re overseas and most won’t cover any complications that might occur after surgery either. Getting some travel health insurance can help. Right now I’m looking at Mexpro as a potential medical insurance provider. It protects you if things don’t go according to plan while you’re in Mexico for surgery. It can help with things like medical emergencies and evacuations due to conflicts or mother nature. I’m still checking prices and comparing companies but I think I’ll prioritize getting some travel health insurance before leaving.
