Keloid Removal

It has been eight months since I had my surgery. I don’t mind the keloid that developed in the incision area, as long as I don’t go remove my shirt when I go swimming. Does anyone know a way to remove the keloid without the use of a scalpel?

I believe they can give you corticosteroid shots to help shrink the scar or they can try cryotherapy to reduce its size.  I’m sure there are other methods that a doctor can use, but I don’t know of any home remedies you can do for yourself.

A friend of mine who had a C-section told me that a salt scrub will help with the prevention of the development of keloid. I haven’t tried this yet because I haven’t done the surgery.

I will try this one because this procedure is applied to the outer skin only. If this doesn’t work, then I would try the corticosteroid shots. I hope the shots are not that expensive.
