How is industry fairing?

I haven’t seen anything in the news about the medical tourism industry lately. Have any popular destinations continued to offer weight-loss surgery during the coronavirus pandemic?

Same here, and my assumption is that medical tourism is taking a break. There are fewer global flights now. Some countries could be offering bariatric surgery, yet people from other places may be unable to travel.

I bet the industry has really suffered. Borders have been closed and flights have been grounded in many countries. I don’t know of anyone who was still performing elective surgery like that. I’m sure someone would’ve bragged about going to Mexico or elsewhere for surgery if that was an option.

Yeah, it’s not something that I have seen any information on. I, for one, would not have traveled out of my state to have the surgery. I think hospitals are opening back up for elective surgeries now.
