One of the hardest things for me post-operation is not drinking with meals. I have always been a milk drinker with every meal. I think it’s just habit now, I pour milk and sit down to eat. Anyone else try to drink while eating?

I do sometimes drink water, just sips while I eat. I feel it just makes me eat less which is a good thing! I typically don’t eat and drink together though

This has been so hard for me. I used to chug multiple glasses of liquid with every single meal. It’s been a very hard adjustment. Eating is not nearly as enjoyable without a beverage. I find taking small sips and swishing it around in my mouth really helps!

That is something I I didn’t think of, swishing the drink around in my mouth. I hate having a dry mouth. I’ll try this for sure. A lot of times the food is dry and I need something to drink to get it down.

I can imagine how hard it has been for you to adjust. The idea of taking small sips and swishing it in the mouth is a brilliant one; it could help in the end.
