I am feeling so fatigued for the last two weeks. My surgery was September 5 of this year. I have done fine and have lost 70 pounds so far. But these last 2 weeks have been miserable. I almost feel like I have the flu but I no I don’t . Has anyone else had to deal with this or is it just me? Thanks for taking time to read my post.

I felt the same way.  It was all I could do to get out of bed.  At my follow-up appointment they ran a full blood panel and my iron and vitamin D levels were very low.  I’m not recommending you start taking these supplements, especially since too much iron is just as bad, but let your doctor know what’s going on and get your blood tested.  You don’t have to live in such a slump.  I feel so much better now.

Thank you Lat I’m going to get with my surgeon for a follow-up. I will request a blood test because I can’t go on like this. Glad you are feeling better now.

Are you tracking your calories to make sure you’re eating enough, kaye64?  Do you drink a protein shake or add protein powder to your meals?  I hope you feel better soon!

Besides checking your calories and have your blood checked, make sure you don’t disregard the fact that we are still normal human beings who get colds and the flu. People who got WLS often freak out, when many of your symptoms may have nothing to do with your sleeve.
