Falling off the wagon

Help! I had a VSG a year ago and quickly lost 70lbs. This summer I totally fell off the wagon and started eating a TON of sugar. I still can’t consume a large volume of food but for some reason I can Hoover sugar without issue. I would still like to lose another 30-40lbs and I just need help getting back on track. Anyone BTDT?

I’m very sorry to hear that, Maggie! What I’ve tried in the past was starting over and had the right mindset. I went through the diet from the start as if I just had surgery and added more minutes of exercise. Maybe ask a close family member to act as police, keeping you in check.

Hang in there, you can do it!

I agree with Blackdust, but perhaps more importantly, why do you think you’re craving sugar so much? Knowing the reason can help you correct things more realistically. You’ve done it once, so I’m sure you can do it again. Sending some of my luck your way!

Well, I’ve googled and googled and can’t find what BTDT stands for, so I’m not sure whether I’ve BTDTed or not.  I like sugary treats a lot too and don’t want to give them up altogether.  I do best by following a keto recipe and making the treats at home.  There are tons of blogs with yummy keto recipes to choose from.

HAHAHAHAHA BTDT means been there done that 😊. Thank you I think I need hard stop on the sugar. I’m going to try a 21 Day Sugar detox and see if I can pull myself together.
