good evening,

i had my operation a year ago to the day , i have gone from 22 stone to just over 16.

i’m over the moon with the results but i was just wondering what portion size people can eat in years 2 and 3.

i’m missing eating out and socializing i also wondered if this gets easier with time.

Why can’t you eat out? I’m not that far along yet but I can eat out. I order a meal and a to-go container. I put at least half of my meal in the container. It’s a win-win situation. I get 2 meals out of 1.

You know it doesn’t matter how you choose to have your meals, provided you ensure that you stick to the recommended portions. I am not sure if anything changes in the second or third year, but I am sure that by now, you have a personalized diet plan. The idea here is to continue taking smaller but more frequent meals.

I’m so glad you asked this question because I’ve worried about it too. I can’t go out now as nothing much is open thanks to the coronavirus. Congrats on your weight loss!

I can’t eat normal portions and I had surgery a year ago. I’ve been open with my friends about it because it felt impossible to hide. I usually split a meal with someone. I finish before anyone else does, but we’ve all gotten used to that and it no longer feels awkward.

Wow, congratulations on your weight loss! That is amazing! What is holding you back from going out with friends right now? Do you feel awkward, do they not know that you had weight-loss surgery, or is something else holding you back?
