How often do you go online to do your research about weight-loss surgery? For some, it is usually a one-off thing before the surgery, but for others, it gets more intense post-op. As is usual, always consult your doctor when you across a contentious issue.

I find forums like this one inspirational, but other than that, I’m not looking up info about surgery anymore.  I’ve already had my weight-loss procedure and I’m not ready for skin removal yet.  I can see how it would be easy to become obsessed with gathering info though.

I had my surgery over a year ago, but initially I would go on the Internet to find answers to questions if my doctor’s office was closed. Of course, if I had any real concerns, I would call my doctor the next day they opened. Sometimes the Internet was able to put my mind at ease a little.
