How easy was it for you to choose a suitable diet and exercise plan after surgery? There are many elements of our life to be adjusted post-surgery, including an intense commitment to the above. The time-frame to start exercising is shorter for a patient who has undergone laparoscopic surgery, as opposed to open surgery.

I haven’t had surgery yet, but I plan to do some form of a low-carb, high protein diet and will exercise every weekday.  Hopefully.  What’s your plan and how easy or hard has it been to stick with it, Jax?

I haven’t undergone surgery yet, but all I know is that what happens post-surgery is a different ball game altogether. You must follow a strict diet so that the body adjusts to a reduced stomach size. Transitioning to solid foods should be after about a month.

I haven’t had my surgery yet, but my surgeon and I have discussed diet and exercise post-op. I am planning to walk on my treadmill daily after surgery until I can go back to work. After that, I plan to walk on the treadmill at least five days a week. It’ll be a challenge, but I am up for it.
