Everyone, the real test is coming up. Well, you can also say that it has started with Halloween! I think I’m pretty successful so far by concentrating on the proteins, not keeping any kind of beautiful treats, and keeping myself busy. Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to be much more complicated, though.

Please share your secrets to surviving the big days!

First off, you won’t be tempted by what you don’t see. At least that’s how I feel. The issue starts when families gather and we have youths who love cakes and cookies so much. Sometimes I keep my own low-calorie treats so I won’t feel “jealous” and start craving. I haven’t decided what I should get this year, though.

Make holidays fun again. Mini Keto Cheesecake Tarts, Panna Cotta Protein dessert, (Note Whey Isolate curdles at 120° ) Shashuka Breakfast is fun and imo a holiday in itself, make some Kale, Zuchinni chips & cheese balls, dates stuffed with brie and smoke dates serves with a slice of fresh fruits, get creative! Wonton wrappers with turkey leftovers and airfried. Chicken Wings of EVERY FLAVOR!

It’s so hard because people make me fancy treats and bring them over.  I’m not sure what I’ll say to that.  Maybe I’ll take a nibble, say it’s good, then give the remainder to a friend.  I’ll feel terrible that folks are gifting me with their time and money only to have me give it away.  But if I keep it, I’ll eat it.  Even if it makes me sick.  I hate that about myself but it’s the truth.

Why self harm? Because they brought u something u can’t use? Ask for donation at a shelter, or Groupon credit…but don’t hurt urself eating what’s bad for u. Why give up ur control to another?

Take what u can to a soup kitchen. Hand out via ur car to homeless.

This is the first year I need to focus on my diet so much. It is going to be incredibly difficult at our family gatherings. My family loves to eat and always has a ton of food at the holidays. I’m hoping to find some tips on how to stay on my diet while still enjoying my family’s company.
