Well, I can add diarrhea to that! I had gastric sleeve, gallbladder removed and hiatal hernia repair all in one surgery. I’m 12 days post op and I have had diarrhea every single day since surgery. Still working with my team to find a solution.

I’ve been pretty lucky. I burped a lot in the beginning and struggled with the transition to eat real food when I first tried, but other than that, it’s not been bad.  I haven’t  experienced dumping syndrome, but I sure worry about it.

I already had my gallbladder removed before but I heard a lot of people will have to have it removed after the WLS. For the sleeve, a side effect is heartburn. Luckily I haven’t had this problem but I know a lot of people who do and had a bypass done after, because of it!
