Clothing subscription while transitioning

Has anyone tried Gwynnie Bee or one of those other clothing subscriptions?  I noticed a couple of folks asked about clothing options while losing weight.  I haven’t tried a service like this, but maybe paying a monthly fee for access to clothing will work for forum members who don’t want to buy a new wardrobe with every 20 pounds lost or so.

This may or may not work out. On the one hand, it would be nice to get clothes every month. This would allow someone who is losing weight to get a piece or two at a time as they lose weight, which may not be as costly as buying a lot of new clothes every time they lose weight.

On the other hand, you’d have to keep adjusting your subscription for size of clothes. This might be difficult to do when you can’t try the clothes on beforehand. For me, it’s just easier to go to the store to find things to fit me. It beats having to send things back through the mail because they don’t fit and guessing at what size I might need.

I plan to buy many belts and just tighten them up.  I’m a guy and not fussy about clothes.  I don’t like renting anything if I can help it.  It’s not a bad idea though.

Just as Jenny says, there are two sides to this approach, meaning it could work for some people. I haven’t tried such a service before as it is always easier to pick a fitting item of clothing from any store of choice.

Goodwill or Salvation Army is honestly better. Its a donation on purchase and on drop off.
