Aquatic Exercise Programs?

3 on July 25, 2018

I love taking daily walks, but I’m interested in mixing things up a bit.  I have some arthritis in my knees and have heard that aquatic exercise programs are good for your joints because they are low-impact and gentler on your body.

Has anyone tried an aquatic exercise program?  If so, how did you like it?  Do you think it benefited you and your health?

Aquatic exercise seems like a great idea because the water will carry our weight. What I’d like to know is whether the chlorine in the pool will cause a bad effect to the wound.

I would definitely wait to get into the pool until after your wound has healed completely.  I had my surgery some months ago, so my surgical wound has already healed.  I think I’ll give it a try!

I do water aerobics and enjoy it a lot.  I burn tons of calories, stay cool, and keep my joints healthy.  I swim laps too, but it gets tiring after a while.
