Any clinics allow you to come alone?

I’ve narrowed my choices to one of the clinics in Mexico since they are the closest and I’ll likely be able to drive in from Texas.  Since I’m driving rather than flying, I should  be able to go it alone, don’t you think?  Everyone  I know works, including my wife, and I don’t want to ask anyone to take off.  I know my wife would do it in a heartbeat and she wants to come with me, but we have kids and dogs at home for her take care of.  I’d feel better knowing she was with the kids, holding house and home together.  Do any clinics allow patients to come alone?

I can find some places like this clinic that will accommodate you, but I think you’re being too hasty.  Have surgery overseas if you’d like, I understand why it’s necessary for many people to do so.  But you’re already ruling out taking someone with you before you’ve even asked them.  I’d be upset if my family member or friend made that decision for me, because I’d much rather accompany that person than to have them go alone for surgery.

Yeah, that’s a good point Quill.  I guess I’ll bring it up with my parents, siblings, and friends.  If someone can go with me, that’s great.  If they can’t, that’s no big deal.  I really don’t want my wife to go though.  It probably sounds weird, but I want her with the kids so I’ll know they’re all okay.

Hey y’all, travel companions provide support and direction while you are on the table unconscious with the surgeon and there is a complication or new unknown medical issue that has popped up. However, if your BMI is under 50, no heart issues, no stroke or DVT issues, most will be ok with you coming solo.
