5 months since last migraine

I used to get three or four migraines a month and they were so debilitating.  If you’ve experienced them yourself, you know how hard it is to keep on with your day while your head is exploding and you’re nauseated.  The doctor thought my migraines were caused by my obesity since my spinal fluid was off balance (I was tested).  I had weight-loss surgery 8 months or so ago and have steadily lost weight since then.  It just hit me this morning that I haven’t had a migraine in five months.  I guess my doctor was right and I just needed to get the weight off.  I can’t believe I didn’t notice it until today.  I’m super happy that migraines seem to be a thing of the past.

Hey @BeyondObesity, I can imagine how persistent migraines can be disorienting, and it is great to hear that after the surgery, they are now a thing of the past. That is a great doctor who didn’t just rely on intuition but went ahead and carried out the necessary tests. You probably wish you had it sooner. Did you (by any chance) get conflicting results from other medical practitioners?
